We will start the walk from Fenton’s Bar, which is just outside Donard and at the base of Lugnaquillia. From here we will follow an old boreen and track towards Camara Hill; this is a direct route up towards Lugnaquillia passing through the Glen of Imaal. We will continue in a South Easterly direction along a ridge to the summit.
From the summit of Lug we will be able to see all the surrounding mountains and landscape, which is quite incredible on a fine day.We should also get a great view of the sunset in the west and then the moon rising over the Irish Sea in the east.
