These Full Moon Walks are an excellent opportunity to see beautiful landscape by the light of the moon.The walks will be short 2-3 hr walks starting at 6pm in the evening during the Autumn / Winter months.
You will visit some of the most scenic parts of Wicklow and Dublin, places such as Glendalough, Luggala, Djouce and many more. If you have never had the opportunity to do some night walking then don't miss this as it's an altogether different experience.
All the guides on theses walks are fully qualified and trained so you are in safe hands.
You will also be trained on the skills of night navigation, gain some knowledge of the stars and you could even experience a night time rainbow.
These walks are very popular so early booking is essential to confirm your place.
Full Moon Walk near Enniskerry, Wicklow
Friday Feb 26th.
Meet: Enniskerry at @ 6pm. (Beside the Clock Tower)
Price €25 (If you have any difficulty booking ring Terry on 087-7849599)
There will be 2 walks available on the evening: Both starting from Crone Wood near Enniskerry.
An Easy type: Up along part of the Wicklow Way from Crone Wood and along by Powerscourt Waterfall. Approx 2hrs
An Easy - Moderate type: Also starting from Crone Wood and taking a different trail up along the side of Maulin and back along the Wicklow way and the side of Powerscourt Waterfall. Approx 2-3hrs.
Both walks offer wonderful views across the Dublin Wicklow mountains and the eastern coastline as well great views over Powerscourt Waterfall.
After the walk we normally head back to Nancy Murphy's Pub in Enniskerry to catch up, enjoy a pint and a few sandwiches.
How do I get there ?
If your coming from Dublin on the M50 and the N11 take the turn of for Greystones, Enniskerry and keep left crossing over the bridege back over the N11 and coming back towards Dublin. About 500m there is a left turn for Enniskerry. This small twisting road brings you into Enniskerry.Accommodation: Stay at The Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry.

Full Moon Walk in GlendaLough Co Wicklow
Saturday Feb 27th.
Meet: at the Glendalough Hotel Lounge at 6pm
Price €25 (If you have any difficulty booking ring Terry on 087-7849599)
There will be 2 walks available on the evening: Both taking in the Glendalough area.
An Easy type: A walk along forested trail over looking the monastic site with womderful views right along the Valley and upper lake. We will return back down by the Pollanas waterfall and follow a trail by the Lower lake. Approx 2 hrs
An Easy - Moderate type: This walk will start from the same location but will take a trail to the upper car park and then up along the side of Camaderry (The way of the Oak) We walk along part of Camaderry and return back down by a forested track on the other side.. Approx 2-3hrs.

How do I get there ?
If your coming from Dublin on the M50 and the N11 take the turn of for Roundwood Glendalough. Follow this road through Roundwood and Annamoe until you reach Laragh. Glendalough is straight ahead and the Glendalough Hotel is on your right.
