Luggala and Lough Tay.
Day 1 moderate: Glenmalure - Glendalough
Glenmalure is steeped in history and very proud of its past in the Irish rebellion of 1798. It was also a favorite hideout for many Irish Rebels with its location being so close to Dublin. Some of the most famous would include Michael Dwyer and Robert Emmet.
Starting at Drumgoff Crossroads and walking North West following the Wicklow Way above the Avonbeg River along the edge of Glenmalure Valley through a forested area.
This has fantastic views of the Valley and Lugnaquilla (the highest mt in Wicklow) to our left. From here we walk north around the west of Mullacor mt. reaching an ascent of approx 530m. We will continue following the Wicklow way path North East through a forested area looking down into the Glendalough valley and around the side of Lugduff.
We will finish at the monastic site and tower of St. Kevin, close to the village of Laragh where we will be staying for the night.
Laragh has a local lodge and a restaurant for food and a few refreshments.

Day 2 moderate: Glendalough Valley to Lough Tay
After a hearthy breakfast in Glendalough we will walk south following the Wicklow way trail as far as Lough Tay and and Fancy mt. We will follow the trail passing the small town of Annamoe and old bridge at the base of Lough Dan crossing some fantastic woodland and open fields on our way. Lough Tay or the guinnesses Lake as it may be known, sits at the foot of Luggala or fancy Mt and is one of the finest locations in county Wicklow.
